About Me

I'm Philippe Stockli, a Software Engineer and Technical Lead with over 12 years of experience building production systems that bridge the digital and physical worlds. My work spans autonomous robotics, manufacturing automation, construction technology, and electronics—industries where software decisions have real-world consequences.

Throughout my career, I've designed and deployed systems that coordinate autonomous robots, automated field operations, integrated enterprise systems, and built real-time platforms handling mission-critical workflows. I've led cross-functional teams, managed complex technical migrations, and delivered solutions that directly impact operational efficiency and safety.

I hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from ETS (École de technologie supérieure) at Université du Québec à Montréal, and I've continuously expanded my expertise through advanced training in full-stack development, machine learning, and modern software architecture. My technical foundation centers on C# and .NET, Python ecosystems, event-driven architecture, and real-time systems. I'm deeply interested in AI agents, autonomous systems, behavioral robotics, and the intersection of software engineering with physical systems.

Stöckli Devs represents a different approach to technical documentation. Here, you won't find sanitized tutorials or idealized case studies. Instead, you'll discover complete project journeys—the actual code, the real decision-making process, the unexpected challenges, and the honest outcomes. Every project includes phase tracking, transparent task management, and candid accounts of what worked, what didn't, and why. This is engineering documentation as it should be: authentic, comprehensive, and genuinely useful.

Why This Exists

Most technical content shows you the destination—the polished solution, the success story, the ideal outcome. But engineering isn't about destinations. It's about the journey: the trade-offs, the constraints, the unexpected problems, and the decisions you make when the textbook answer doesn't apply.

This platform exists to document that journey authentically. Through comprehensive project documentation, phase tracking, and transparent task management, I bridge the gap between learning and doing. Every project here reveals the real process—the architectural decisions, the debugging sessions, the performance optimizations, the mistakes that became lessons, and the breakthroughs that changed everything.

Whether you're a student building your first portfolio, a junior developer seeking real-world examples, or an experienced engineer exploring new approaches, you'll find value here. Not because the solutions are perfect, but because they're real—and that's what makes them worth studying.
